Brain INjury:

SUrvive and Thrive

As a practitioner, privacy is of the utmost importance to me, which is why all of the client documents are HIPPA compliant. Cognitive Remediation is very personal and deserves the utmost compassion and care.

Cognitive Remediation takes time and compassion from within. I know you'll be working extra hard, so I want to do what I can to ensure your growth. I will always do whatever is within my capacity to help you or your loved ones better understand the targeted struggles and what it will take to overcome them. I don't believe in hidden fees or unsavory business practices.  You're a human being who deserves compassion, respect and a safe space to grow into who you are, and so do the employees here at Synsense. We will always strive to assume the best of you and would appreciate the same sentiment.

Candis Fox,

Founder and C.E.O.

At age 27, after working in education for 11 years, I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a passenger in an automobile collision. Since then, I've explored a variety of ways to put my own brain back together and along the way encountered several very effective programs. After years of dedicated study and practice in Cognitive Remediation and Consulting, I decided to move my practice from Seattle to Tacoma! As two-time PLU Alum, it's like coming home.

My main goal for my lifetime is to change the way America "does" education:  to be more cognitively-based and less focused on anxiety-producing skills and test-taking. Along the way, I aim to help individuals master their own minds and pursue their most authentic selves through Cognitive Remediation and Consultation.

Whatever your mind needs, I'll be able to show you a pathway toward targeted progress and  fulfillment.
